First TOMF Trustee Award of 2017 Goes to St. Luke's Home

January 6, 2017

St. Luke’s Home, a Tucson nonprofit that’s been in operation for 100 years, has been named one of the TOMF Trustee Award winners for January 2017. This $1,500 grant will support their “Engaged and Energized Elders” program.

The mission of St. Luke’s Home is to provide for the care and well-being of elderly men, women, and couples of limited financial means in a caring environment, respectful of the residents’ rights and the regulatory guidelines. As part of this mission, the “Engaged and Energized Elders” program will provide two monthly onsite specialized low-impact flexibility and strength-enhancing exercise classes.

Along with the grant funds, St. Luke's Home has also been invited to join the Trustee Award Collaboration, a group of past winner

The Tucson Osteopathic Medical Foundation revived the Trustee Award grant-giving program in 2013 as part of its efforts to support the local nonprofits that improve public health in Tucson. These grants are awarded monthly and have benefited nearly 50 organizations.
