TOMF Awards $1000 to TOPS TEN Program!

January 9, 2013
The Tucson Osteopathic Medical Foundation Trustee Awards Program granted its first $1,000 award of 2013 to Teen Outreach Pregnancy Services to provide funding for their Teen Education Network. The TOPS TEN program aims to increase education and cultivate healthy lifestyle choices through a nine week educational program for teens. Funding from the award will provide education seminars and program materials for up to 40 students for one semester.

In keeping with its mission to "advance community healthcare issues," the Tucson Osteopathic Medical Foundation is proud to award unique and meaningful projects that function to improve public health in Arizona through its Trustee Awards program. "Our goal is to help unique projects that require little funding, yet produce anything-but-little results," said Deborah Jane Power, DO, a rheumatologist at Catalina Pointe Arthritis and Rheumatology Specialists and the Chair of the Foundation's Grants and Scholarships Committee. Organizations interested in the once per month $1,000 awards may view the eligibility requirements or apply for a Trustee Award at www.tomf.org
